In this guide I will teach you step by step on how to disable it and protected your privacy.
Before i get started i will want you to visit this link https://myactivity.google.com/my activity to check all your activities that have been monitored by Google so far. In order to actually turn off the monitored activities, users must navigate to a little-known setting called Web & App Activity.
There are two ways to turn your monitor activities off, which are
- Through your web browser {mobile or desktop}
- And through your ios and Android devices settings
Here's how to turn it off in a web browser (mobile or desktop):
- Go to https://myaccount.google.com/
- Sign in to your Google Account in the upper-right corner of your browser
- Go to Personal Info & Privacy and choose Go to My Activity
- In the Personal Info & Privacy, you will see (Activity Controls), where you’ll see Web & App Activity, Location History, Voice And Audio Activity, Device Information, YouTube Search History, And YouTube Watch History.
Here's how to turn it off on your Android device:
- Go to your phone Settings app
- Tap on Google
- Tap Google Account (Info, security & personalization)
- Now start clicking on the arrow ➡ button one by one and pause it all
NOTE:
(Some Android devices may have their own designs that mean the above instructions won’t be exactly right. If you can’t find Google settings on the phone, you can also go to myactivity.google.com and then follow the browser instructions.)
